Go City Amsterdam Passes: All-Inclusive and Explorer Pass

An honest and complete review of the Go City Amsterdam Passes

Have you heard of Go City Amsterdam? Go City offers Sightseeing Passes in many cities around the world and Amsterdam could not be out of this list. The Amsterdam Go City Passes work in two ways: 1. day based 2. attraction based. But which one is worth it? Which one is best for your trip?

If you are visiting Amsterdam for the first or second time, you should know that many of the most popular attractions are included in the Go City Amsterdam Passes. Instead of buying each ticket separately, you choose one of the two Go City Amsterdam Passes and have all the tickets you need with you. The advantage is that you save money and still have flexibility in case you want to visit a different attraction than planned.

Amsterdam Go City in a Nutshell

No time to read all of it?

No time to read all of it? No problem! Here is a summary of Go City Amsterdam:

Go City Amsterdam is separated into two options: 1. Amsterdam All Inclusive and 2. Amsterdam Explorer Pass.

  1. The Amsterdam All Inclusive is a buffet of all-you-can-visit attractions and is limited by time of use: 1, 2, 3, or 5 days.
  2. The Amsterdam Explorer Pass is limited by the number of attractions—3, 4, 5, 6, or 7—but you have 60 days to visit them.

In none of the above options work, you do not need to define which attractions you will visit in advance. However, some attractions require time slots to be reserved, and these reservations can be made through Go City Amsterdam App for free.

The list of attractions is minimally different between the Amsterdam All-Inclusive and Amsterdam Explorer Pass.

On both Go City Amsterdam Passes options, you get a different price for children from 3 to 12 years old.

What Are the Amsterdam Go City Cards?

Go City Amsterdam Passes: All-Inclusive and Explorer Pass

By choosing one of the two Amsterdam Go City Passes, you get tickets to the attractions. This means that the Go City Passes are not discount cards, and the included attractions are entirely included.

The point of using Go City Amsterdam is to save money! Buying a Sightseeing Pass is recommended when the total price of all tickets separately is more expensive than using a Go City Amsterdam Pass.

What’s Better: Go City Amsterdam Cards or I Amsterdam Card?

While the I Amsterdam Card strongly focuses on museums and galleries, the two Amsterdam Go City Cards offer more popular and interactive activities. Using the Amsterdam Pass Savings Calculator, you can see which of the Amsterdam Sightseeing Passes helps you save the most.

Amsterdam Go City Cards: Our Honest Review

Amsterdam Go City Cards

Our honest review

Go City is already a reference in the international tourism segment. The strong point has always been to offer practicality and economy to visitors of numerous cities worldwide. In Amsterdam, it is no different. The two options of Go City Cards leave you free to choose your attractions and help you save money.

The Amsterdam Explorer Pass is my favorite simply because of the way it works. I only pay for the number of attractions I want to visit. However, it requires some planning, so I don’t have to buy more tickets during my trip because I forget one activity or another.

The Amsterdam All Inclusive is an unlimited card. You can enter as many attractions as you want. However, the price of the All Inclusive is high and may not be worth it if you want a calmer, more stress-free style of travel. I do not recommend Amsterdam All Inclusive for those traveling with children or those who want to enjoy the nightlife in Amsterdam.
